Step 1: Choose a metal

Here at Teton Silverworks, we create custom jewelry out of gold and silver. We use a variety of different golds including yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. Each of these can be done in 10K and 14K gold. The 14K gold rings contain a higher concentration gold while the 10K gold rings are sturdier.

Silver can also be a great option for a piece of jewelry. It is cost effective and a beautiful color. It is durable; however, gold hold up better for daily wear.

Step 2: Stone Shape and size

Find out what stone shape will work best for you. It may be round or princess cut.

Step 3: Stone material

Diamonds are by far the most common stone chosen for a special ring. They are beautiful and durable. However, there are a number of other stones which can create magnificent ring. Moissanites are cheaper and sparkle more.

Step 4:Design elements
